In the name of the Father of Greatness, and of all His emanations.
Now the season of winter is upon us, and in some parts of the world, the season of darkness. Truly, as the light of summer comes, so too must the darkness of the winter. It is difficult to find light during seasons like this, where it seems there can be no light.
In truth, it is possible to find goodness in winter. But we mustn't look to the sky, but within our hearts. Indeed, when light comes together, it shines even brighter. Winter provides the time for all people to come together and make good will. The holidays of December especially provide a facet for that, in promoting peace among the world and good will among people. People often are themselves the cause of darkness, and so we must let that light shine through us.
Moreover, through this eminent darkness, we may appreciate and meditate on the light within us. When all seems bright, we tend to take it for granted, and only when we do not have it do we yearn for it. But there is always light within us, and recognizing that will lead us to recognize the Father of Greatness. In this season, we ought to reflect upon this fact and reflect upon the teachings of Mani and Jesus, which themselves are the great source of light which eminates to those who would read it. As Jesus said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" (John 6:51)
Let us then take this momentary darkness to praise and celebrate light, that when the light returns, we may appreciate it more.
May blessings be upon you.
